Here are todays pics of the Woormel River which runs through our place near the Callytharra Springs homestead and on the main road near Gilroyd homestead. I have also posted some pictures of Gnarra Creek which runs just North of the Wooramel.

More photos - these are of the shearing shed which is 3 kms away form the house and Harry had to walk most of the way to get there. One of the photos is of the road to the shearing shed and the windmill is on a claypan known as Yabble. It is still too wet to get to the Wooramel River.

Rains easing

The rains have finally eased and as of this morning we have had 257mm (Just over 10 inches) of rain for the month of December, the creek is now smaller but still running. Thanks to everyone who has called. The airstrip is still covered in water and hopefully Harry is going to get to the Wooramel River on his motorbike this afternoon and get some photos.

228mm Rain over the Last 3 days

Here are some photos of the Cardilya Creek that flows past the homestead, it peaked overnight almost to the house yard. It has been a great welcome rain and because it has been so steady the country has had a good soaking rather than a flooding. We are now looking forward to going for a drive to look at how the country has faired, how the Wooramel River is going and all our pools and rockholes.
